DVD’s are very common these days and almost everyone knows about it and most people use it in daily life but exceptions are always there so for those who don’t know it till now DVD stands for Digital Versatile/Video Disc. DVDs offer higher storage capacity than Compact Discs (CD) while having the same dimensions this quality is the key factor behind its popularity. User can use DVD’s for various purposes like for writing data on it or for reading data from it, for copying data, cloning data, and there are many more uses of dvds. Most of the time every computer user needs to copy data from dvd. Copying dvd needs Dvd copier (software), there are several available in the market both commercial and free. But for best quality copying one has very less choices.
Today I am going to review a dvd copier which is one of the best in its kind. I am talking about DVD Copy Software. It’s a world renowned dvd copier. It comes in a one install package setup file of 19.7MB which have other products of DVDFab too. It takes 40-50 seconds to install and installation process is simple and takes very less input from user side. It has a simple GUI (Graphical User Interface) which is packed with advance options. It is highly customisable too. Because of its advance yet user friendly options and simple GUI even a novice user can use it with ease.
Now let me go through main features of DVDFab’s DVD Copy:
The GUI of DVDFab’s DVD Copy has eight advance option’s in a menu on the left side and on the other side of this menu it has a setting pan where user has options to set for every selection. I’ll explain them one-by-one in detail below.
Full Disc: By selecting this option user can create a backup dvd from a image file (.iso, .ini, .img, .nrg). For creating dvd from image file user has to select folder or image file in Source field which is on the top of the setting pan, user can also insert a dvd for making another dvd. After that user has to specify dvd disc’s region code. Then User has to select a Target (dvd writer) in target field. After these two options user has the option for copying where user can select to copy dvd-video, dvd-audio or non-dvd files. Next option is removing where user can remove DTS audio (Digital Theater System audio), remove menus (for playing title continually) and then comes title playback order settings after that user can select weather dvd jump start to first menu or to main title when inserted. Then user has option for labelling the volume and can select the quality of new volume. After going through these option user can start the process.
Main Movie: By selecting this option user can rip off the additional stuff from the original dvd and create a new dvd which only have desired content. This option also has source and target fields where user has to select image file, folder or dvd disk and target device respectively. Then user has to select dvd disc’s region code. After that it has drag and drop menu where user can drop folder or image file. User can also set start and end of title in title start/end settings. User can also control the quality. After going through these settings user has to select next button and follow instructions for starting process.
Split: By selecting this option user can split one volume of data into two. This option also has source and target fields where user has to select image file, folder or dvd disk and target device respectively. User can split one dvd into two but it needs some experience and user has to decide first what the final product should looks like. It has advance options for splitting title into chapters and including chapter in both output dvd’s. After going through these option user has to decide if he wants to preserve menus on second disc or not. After this user has to put the size of the output discs and start the process. User can preview each part before starting splitting process, Preview pan is on the bottom of the option menu.
Customize: This option gives user full customization control. By selecting this option user can produce fully customize copy. This option also has source and target fields where user has to select image file, folder or dvd disk and target device respectively. After going through all the options and setting title start/end settings and selecting quality user hast to click next button. On pressing next button new set of options appear where user has the option to copying dvd audio/video and non-dvd files, removing DTS audio, menus etc and settings for navigation. User can also give the name to volume and the on clicking next button process start.
Customize Split: This option gives user full customized splits. By selecting this option user can produce highly customize splits. This option also has source and target fields where user has to select image file, folder or dvd disk and target device respectively. After going through all the settings user can set title start/end settings and quality and on clicking on next button new set of options appear, user has to go through those options for starting process.
Clone: By selecting user can create clone of one dvd. This option is very easy and just needs to insert source and select a target. User can select to copy only dvd-video data only and copy original IFO files and can start the cloning process.
Merge: By selecting this option user can produce a merged edition of two dvd’s. It also has source and target fields where user has to select image file, folder or dvd disk and target device respectively. It needs some experience for good merge as user has to decide first what exactly they want in the final product. User can customise title, audio and sub-pictures of the output. After going through all the settings and selecting merge source user can click next button where user can rearrange all the sources as per there needs. User can also select what quality they want for the merged output. After that user can start the process of merge.
Write Data: By selecting this option user can burn an image file or folder to dvd but the catch is source should be on hard disk and not on a external media. User has to select the source and the target and can start the process.
These are the eight options of DVD copy, including all these it also has two buttons on the right side of the title bar. I’ll explain function of both below.
Common Settings: By clicking on first button (green button) a common settings window pops up on the screen where user can get the info about the dvd inserted in default drive. User can also adjust settings for General, DVD copy, File transfer and for other programs comes with DVDFab package.
In info user can get the info of vendor, product, revision, vendor specific and availability of the disc. User can save info files to hard disk and can also send it.
In General settings there are six settings a user can adjust other then general itself.

User can select to move Icon to system tray when minimized. User can select to memorize user interface of program set by user. User can choose to add autoplay handler (that means everytime a dvd is inserted dvdfab will start). User can choose to add context menu icon and can choose to check for on-the-fly decrypter automatically. User can also choose to disable display screensaver when processing. User can choose to avoid standby when processing. User can select autoupdate on. Uset can choose to check for DMA automatically. User can set the output directory and temporary directory.

Second Button (blue button) is a dropdown menu which has three options,
first option is Tutorials: On selecting this option a default web browser window pops up on screen which leads to online help section of DVDfab’s website. (needs internet connection)
Second option is Tell a Friend: User can tell a friend about DVDFab by selecting this option. It also pops up a default browser window and hence needs a internet connection.
Third option is About: User can check for registration information, can enter a product key and can renew/buy a product key by selecting this option.
Conclusion: What I like in DVDFab’s dvd copy is its customisability and it is packed with rich features which gives user full control over output files. What I really don’t like in it is it comes with no help file, for accessing help files and tutorials user needs a active internet connection. DVDFab’s DVD Copy is perfect software for copying, cloning, splitting, customizing dvd’s. As it comes with a 30-day trial everyone can try it without spending a single buck. Because I think first-hand experience is better than any recommendation and review and because I really liked this software and I experienced its quality, I want to request everyone to try it once because there are very few softwares out there which are worth trying and this is one of them. Thank you for reading this review and I hope you’ll find it useful.
