Everybody tries to keep their important files in absolute safety because they might contain very useful information for them or simply sweet memories of their lives such as photos and video files. The modern technologies allow us many ways for saving our files. We can store them onto the CD, DVD, Blu-ray disks or simply use very popular and very useful external hard drives and flash drives. But can they guaranty absolute safety of our files? The answer is very simple and easy: unfortunately No! Of course, CD, DVD and Blu-ray disks are very safe for saving files but they also have their time limit.

Small scratches on them after long using gradually make them completely unsuitable for reading. External hard drives and flash drives are much safer but they will become unusable someday too. If your CD, DVD, etc. are damaged and you cannot copy all necessary data from them, you may either cry bitterly and then throw them into the bin or try to recover your valuable data. The great program called IsoBuster can help you. It is much easier to restore all your data than to cry and throw your valuable files into the bin.

IsoBuster is a very valuable data recovery program which was created by the Belgian company Smart Projects. It was founded in 1995 by Peter Van Hove. The version 1.4 was released in 2003 and the latest version 3.0 just two months ago on March 29, 2012. This new version has many new great features and we are going to describe it more fully below.

The installation file is very small, just about 5MB. It supports all Windows versions from Windows 2000 to Windows 8 (both 32 and 64 bit versions are supported). IsoBuster is very useful for everybody because it supports more than forty languages, for example, Afrikaans, Farsi, etc. (full list of supported languages can be found here : http://www.isobuster.com/download_dll.php).

The installation process is very fast and easy. Just few seconds and program is ready for use. The interface of the program is very simple but very comfortable and friendly. It is designed as Windows Explorer, so you can easily perform all manipulations.

The program has all necessary features for easy restoring your damage data. It consists of three control buttons: File, Options and Help. By the help of File button you can perform a lot of operations with selected hard drives, DVD disks, USB flash drives, etc. For example you can open image file or do other various operations. IsoBuster will help you to extract and run the disk, open folder, find missing files and folders, get information about folder tree and file, check readability of files and a lot of other necessary information for data restoring. The control button Options allows you easily to configure IsoBuster features for maximum usability of the program. You can configure such settings as Communication (you can choose interface for optical devices, store selected interface, set up multiple and single block transfer retries and time for delays before doing a retry, etc.), File System Settings (you can display time stamp, apply time stamp, configure recovery options, set up UDF, HFS, IFO,VOB, SIG, FAT and NTFS options, sort restored data by size, address, name, date, etc., Image Files (you can set up image file creation option, set preferred image extension, configure files association and plugins. IsoBuster supports a lot of image formats ISO, BIN, IMG, etc.)

IsoBuster has a two-panel window. On the left you can find the tree-like view of images and disks, on the right files and folders of these disks. Restoring data from damaged disks, USB flash drives, etc. is very easy. For example, insert the DVD disk into the disk drive. You will see the disk on the left panel-its tracks and sessions and on the right panel-folders and files of this disk. If the files are not shown you should search them simply click on the Track and choose “Find missing files and folders”. After that you can begin extracting files-choose Extract command from File menu, choose the folder for saving them. During restoration IsoBuster will inform you about everything, it will give you all the information about readable sectors. If program finds a bad sector it informs you about it and asks you if you want to stop the operation or read it again. You can configure all these features in the option menu. The program does his jog very good. You can restore your lost files with just few clicks.

IsoBuster is a great program for restoring damage files from all media. It is very needful for everybody because you can easily restore all your files. I highly recommend it. Its price is not high but the job which this program does is of the highest quality. Just try it and I am sure you will like it.
