In the Centered forefront Window:

Options: (Clicking More Info will tell you different usage options)

Recover Files – This is used to recover files that have been deleted either by yourself, others or malware or a virus.

Recover Drive – Recovers the whole drive especially useful when your HD is corrupt and Windows says it needs to be formatted to read it.

The Recover Files Option:

This Mode allows you to find specific files on a specific Hard Drive .

This has 2 main options :

Search for Deleted files – this does a general search for any files deleted and is the faster of the 2 options

Search for Deleted files, then search for selected “Lost File” types . This does the same a the first one but then searches for specific file types you choose . This is useful where no OS record exists

however this increases search time dramatically

The Recover Drive Option :

The Recover Drive has 2 options – the Automatic Drive Recovery option which uses it’s own search parameters to find files

The second option is to find files by their association that you chose e.g. .rar .jpeg then stop the search and allow the program to rebuild the results as ‘Recovered Partition’

The Tabs at the base of ‘Display Window’ give you 3 options – display (as in normal display), Hex (with give you a display in hex) and text which will display the file as text.

In Options :

You can change file sizes to search for and change the amount of Partitions the program looks for. There is an ability to search by partition type with NTFS , FAT, exFAT and HFS options listed. There are a good number of options for saving found data too.

Advanced TAB has ‘Lost File Search’ with Run a lost file search only and prompt for start block options. Under ‘Drive Access Method’  you can also use SPTI (SCSI Pass Through Interface)  or not to search the disk.

Summary : A good data recovery software with good options for partitions recovery and different search methods.
