Paint.net - a "normal" Graphics program for Windows
It might not be quite as powerful as "The GIMP", and gets criticised for using the rather bloated .Net runtime, but Paint.net looks a lot more normal on Windows.

RE: Paint.net - a "normal" Graphics program for Windows
I usually switch between PS3, Gimp and Paint.net..and a few others..
I like the selection of fonts on one..easier to do layers on another..I am all about being easy. Or maybe, lazy!

RE: Paint.net - a "normal" Graphics program for Windows
There have been some Windows tweaked versions of The GIMP, Such as GIMPSHOP, but they have not been kept up to date, Most recent is the Gimp 2.4 based Guests cannot see links. Registration or Login is required.
- while Gimp has moved to 2.6 GimPhoto makes the menus like Photoshop, while Gimpad (used together with it) makes it a Windows MDI setup (all the sub-windows in one app window, instead of floating independently). |

I am using this one more and more...
Here are some Tuts for paint.net. Guests cannot see links. Registration or Login is required. Even has something if you are just starting out(Newbie Playground). ![]() "Tutorials that describe the use of core features of Paint.NET such as tools, effects, and adjustments. Minimal plugins should be used in any of these tutorials. Perfect for the wet-behind-the-ear newcomer!" "We are all slaves to our histories. If there is to be a .. bright future, we must learn to break those chains." Ambassador Delenn, GROPOS |
