Exactly,100% agree.I'm just wondering why he didn't set the end date on 31.12.2012 and the winner announced somewhere at the end of the January,wouldn't have been more thrilling?thumbd

It seems that the date 26 OCT is given because Microsoft plans to release Windows 8 for general availability on October 26, 2012 gn

Yes, This is a way of getting traffic cheap or genuine towards the site.But this is the way all it works.Dunno
He is not going to throw away the license of the new costly product within a few days.Nono
I have seen most of the Windows OS giveaway runs for a longer period.
He is using one of the different marketing techniques available.Facebook sharing and twitting is also a somewhat that technique to get traffic by one or other means.
If you have noticed,half of the participant does not participate in the contest but, simply they beg for the license.
Even I do not like to wait for such a long contest.
I like the giveaway contest by
Digiarty (Simply comment and a surprise message you may receive in your Facebook message box)
Softpedia (They truly gives you license based on your smart comment)
And Of course here at Tipradar (Sharing and Tweeting is optional hereWink)
