Updated anti-malware boasts improved performance, enhanced firewall compatibility with IPv6

The Internet Security experts at Agnitum are pleased to announce the release of Outpost Pro Version 7.5.3 (Performance Edition), featuring support for Java 7, MySQL, and Windows Remote Desktop when using IPv6 under Windows 7.

Additional enhancements include:

Upgraded anti-virus (anti-malware) engine with memory consumption reduced by approximately 20%
More efficient database format, significantly decreasing the size of the anti-malware database

Key bug fixes in v7.5.3 include:

The anti-malware engine no longer crashes when it encounters hacked UPX samples on 64-bit systems
Detections missed by the x64 version of the anti-malware engine but caught by the x86 version have now been resolved; detections now apply across all platforms

Paradoxically, also announced on their (Outpost Free) Facebook, though goodness knows when Outpost free will get the fixes needed to support Java 7.

Also, unsure if it's possible to update the promotional giveaways (though they don't have that much longer to run) to 7.5.3

And if you are on a 1 year promo, do you intend to:
1. Renew at the going rate (or any deal available).
2. Something else

To be honest, I'm thinking of standardizing on Microsoft Security Essentials, my router as primary incoming firewall and Microsoft firewall enabled in case of connecting elsewhere, since it would get rid of the need for annual renewals that every other paid or free one has.

The cleverer your security product is, the more likely it is to trip things up - the run of perfect Vb100 scores for Outpost masking a number of niggles which were either not tested, or not rated as a fail by Vb100...

PS. I'll admit, I made the supplied 3 month trial of (not telling you) on my PC last for more than 3 years... it kept nagging to buy, but kept updating, and then in the end it didn't even carry on nagging, and still kept updating, until the day that the updates for that version were discontinued.
What did you guys prefer Update/Upgrade from v7.5.2 to Outpost v7.5.3 or make a clean Install?
