Forgotten to add this the false positives issues you're experience before was with the AVG definitions and they still do so with AVG. By default heuristics are turned off.

Good Luck..

It still uses Bitdefender and AVG engines plus a new Trustport engine. Resource usage and performance wise, simply said it will be no problem with most modern computers nowdays.

No issues here with installation, faster time taken and smaller in size than their previous offerings. I hated those vendors that provide these tiny size online installers than makes downloads a miserable experience for users with slow internet connections, made it even worst with bandwidth disruption could make the installer stall or terminated by itself.

Unlike other antivirus, as usual TrustPort needs to be given time to learn all your applications before it resides down..

No noticeable lag with running applications here on a Pentium 4 and 2GB of ram. The only slow down i've noticed are with boot time. The scans are decently fast which compensate ram to do so. I really don't understand with this high ram phobias after all it's runs on triple engines.. with most modern machine which has more than enough ram shouldn't complained at all.

I've seen new products offerings that is so buggy as though they are still in their beta stages, thought this not the case with TrustPort. Really like the new interface, the best i've seen, looks really neat and not cluttered.

Bill, i could swear it was either Bitdefender or BullGuard if that what you're saying.

I do not know about the current 2013 Trustport AV (from mid-2012) but in the past Trustport combined two good individual engines (BitDefender and AVG) to identify malicious software very successfully, but also suffered from pretty high false positive rates and slower performance. Some people also reported installation problems. Does anyone have more current info?
