[Contest] 3D Video Player [Forum Exclusive]

| June 23, 2012

The 3D Video Player, from convert-to-3d.com, is a rather nice video player. It is lightweight and plays videos very smooth. You can watch any video in standard mode or in 3D mode. You can view in 3D mode by clicking on the 3D icon to the right of the player controls. Once you click it you can adjust the Shift and Depth, each independently. It makes for a unique viewing experience that you have control over rather than having to rely on the preset factors of commercial 3D movies.  You can also toggle between standard view mode, windowed, or view in full screen. This is common on most all video players but I felt it should be mentioned anyway.  One drawback, with the trial version, is the water mark is rather large and takes up three lines in the lower right corner of the video being viewed. This is rather distracting, at times, but it is what the developer chose to do. Granted many other trial versions of software have this, or some similar limitations, but it could be made smaller in my opinion. And it is noted that if you purchase the full version you will not have the water mark.  Also, you need to be sure to obtain the correct type of 3D viewing glasses. You can’t use the glasses that are used for 3D televisions or ones for theater use. You must get the glasses that have the red and blue lenses.  In conclusion it is worth the $19.99 price tag to view your older movies in 3D and enjoy them in a whole new light. And the 3D viewing experience is great and I would recommend this to people looking to view any movie in a new, and interesting, way.
