Continue to stay safe with Avira Antivirus – it works great on Windows 10!

We’re ready – are you?
Windows 10 has arrived. You’ve heard all about it. You’ve read about it (honestly, it’s hard to miss!), you’ve reserved your copy, and starting today it is finally available.

But wait – what about all those programs that you use readily and all the time? Will they be compatible? And most importantly: What about your antivirus? Especially in times when everyone out there, be it hackers or governments, is after your data, when every day, thousands of different malicious programs are trying to infect as many devices as possible, the antivirus remains the most important tool on any PC.

Worry not. We cannot talk for products of other companies of course, but when it comes to our Avira Antivirus ones you definitely can rest assured that our home user product line will work with Windows 10 from the start. Our antivirus engine, the core component of our antivirus products, has been extensively tested in regards to its compatibility to Windows 10. You won’t have to stay unprotected for even one second.

Upgrading – What to pay attention to
While upgrading is really easy (see below) and should generally be no cause for concerns when it comes to our products, you might want to make sure that your antivirus, be it Avira Free Antivirus or Avira Antivirus Pro, are up to date and running the latest version.

How to Upgrade To Windows 10
Upgrading is really easy. According to Microsoft “once Windows 10 is available, they’ll begin notifying devices that the free upgrade is available. Just open the Get Windows 10 app to schedule your upgrade. Note: Some notifications will go out as soon as Windows 10 is available; others may go out in the weeks or months following.”
